Objectives

The main objectives of the Chair are:

• Promote awareness about Digital Education, through the design, implementation and channeling of educational resources. This is intended to benefit not only students, teachers, and experts, but also any citizen.
• Design methodologies and tools to improve the quality of educational processes in online, blended and face-to-face environments.
• Disseminate and promote the results and advances of the Chair, transfering knowledge to society at the national and international level, with a special focus on Spain and Latin America.

Focusing on the specificities of UNIR (as an online university) and of the iTED institute (as a center of excellence for international research and innovation projects), the Chair investigates how ICT can improve, support, integrate and condition teaching and learning methodologies.

The Chair also leads the production of educational resources and facilitates access to open project reports. Likewise, it fosters communication between universities, companies and society by promoting internships in companies and encouraging participation in Platforms, Networks of Excellence, Working Groups.
