Definition of the Telefonica-UNIR Chair on Digital Society and Education

The Telefónica – UNIR Chair on “Digital Society and Education” aims to promote studies, awareness and research on the digital society and its impact on education.

Focusing on the specificities of UNIR (an online university) and of the iTED institute (a center of excellence for international research and innovation projects), the Chair investigates how Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) can improve, support, integrate and condition teaching and learning methodologies.

The activities of the Chair include:

• Training activities
• Innovation projects
• Scientific Publications
• Communication activities
• Participation in different activities of the Red de Catedras Telefonica

The Chair also leads the production of educational resources and facilitates access to open knowledge. Likewise, it fosters collaboration between Universities, Companies and Society by promoting agreements for carrying out internships in companies and encouraging participation in Platforms, Networks of Excellence, Working Groups, and other institutions.
