Enrique Frías (Senior researcher)

Enrique Frías works as a senior project manager at Institute for Research, Innovation and Educational Technology (UNIR iTED, http://ited.unir.net) at Universidad Internacional de La Rioja (UNIR).

Enrique has a PhD in Computer Science from the Polytechnic University of Madrid. Ph.D. Information Systems, Brunel University of London (2006). Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering, University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) (2009). Enrique has extensive research experience in both academic and industrial environments, with more than 100 scientific articles and 15 patents.

His research area focuses on AI applications, mainly personalization, urban computing, smart cities, social applications of AI, mobility and education.

He has worked as an applied researcher in Artificial Intelligence, developing his activities at Telefonica Research and Development for more than 10 years and previously as a senior researcher at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences at New York University (2001/2003), in the Department of Biomedical. Engineering at UCLA (2006/2009) and at the Department of Information Systems at Brunel University, London (2003/2006).
