Project ISE: Inspiring Science Education (Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme)

Inspiring Science Education, Large Scale Experimentation Scenarios to Mainstream eLearning in Science, Mathematics and Technology in Primary and Secondary Schools (ICT PSP sixth call for proposals 2012, 2012-2015)

The means towards this achievement is the creation of a federation of a pool of online resources which will bring together modellinig and data analysis tools, interactive simulations, educational games, VR and AR interfaces, sensors and multilogs, digital resources from research centres, science centres and museums and a significant number of eScience applications that provide access to a large set of remote laboratories, such as CERN infrastructures, the “Las Cumbres Observatory Global Telescope” network in Hawaii, Australia, Chile, South Africa and the continental US and the ESA GAIA mission.

Also, in order Inspiring Science Education is providing a consistent experience to students while accessing the available eLearning tools and resources and educational scenarios, authoring environments will be offered to teaches to design educational scenarios by repurposing existing eLearning tools. In this way, teachers will be able to find and exploit existing eLearning tools and resources in their educational scenarios delivered to their students.
