UNIR iTED contributes to a selected number of research projects which are carried out with public and private fundings.

In this section you will find all related information to European and National Research projects, international projects outside Europe, company contracts, 1-1 research and innovation projects and UNIR-funded initiatives.

All these project are the base for innovative ways to work with technology and education, active publishing engagement and lively networks, worldwide.

Project V-Tours (Erasmus + KA2 Strategic Partnerships)

The need for dialogue between Education and enterprises is therefore not related only to placement: placement is a consequence of candidates suitable to job vacancies, rather than a simple matching between degrees and job posts. Career offices have worked since years to foster mobility through internship and traineeships, in order to enhance dialogue between academia and enterprises to one side, and to foster self-awareness and development of soft-skills and transversal competences in students to the other side.

Project Open Med: Opening up education in South-Mediterranean Countries (Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education programme)

Openness in Higher Education seems to be common sense for the equal and democratic access to knowledge. Stimulating supply and demand for high-quality OERs is essential for modernising education. If universities really want to find more resources to invest in better teaching and research, it is essential that the open sharing of resources is encouraged. Knowledge must be shared and spread, teachers encouraged to network and collaborate on course development and institutions discouraged from fragmentation and all producing their own slight variations on the same course.

Project ISE: Inspiring Science Education (Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme)

Project Intuitel: Intelligent Tutoring Interface for Technology Enhanced Learning (FP7-ICT)

INTUITEL aims to create a rule based system of content and technology, where the knowledge of instructional design experts and knowledge domain experts is mapped into an ontology and rules in order to automatically reduce the complexity of the learning process decisions to a level suitable for the individual learner.

Project EU-USR: University Social Responsibility in Europe (Lifelong Learning Programme)

The EU-USR project will create a European model to enhance social responsibility of universities in a long-term perspective. The project will use a bottom-up approach which starts from some leading EU universities in the field of USR. USR will support the achievement of a European Area of Higher Education by developing of a common European Framework for Universities Social Responsibility.

Project PERFORM (Beijing Normal University)

Through the project PERFORM, both institutions analyze the learning process and the interaction patterns to develop an automatized recommendation system which aims at helping students and professors to improve their academic outcomes.

Project Open Educators Factory (OEF)

The project will explore how to transform university educators from “agents of resistence” into “agents of change” for Open Education.

Project Policies for Opening Up Education (Joint Research Centre – European Commission)

Project Social4ALL (ADER)

Researchers at UNIR iTED have developed Social4All, a computing platform that detects problems in any web accessibility, solves and records the needs of different users. This way you can create profiles for people with the same type of functional diversity.

Project HOTEL: Holistic Approach to Technology Enhanced Learning (FP7-ICT)

Project Social Seducement (Erasmus+ KA2 Strategic Partnerships)

The Social Seducement project aims to develop the key competences and skills of adults with disadvantages, and in particular those being unemployed, to help them start up a collaborative enterprise. Universidad Internacional de La Rioja (UNIR) leads the design of the game and the pedagogical model.

Project eMundus (Erasmus Mundus)

The eMundus project aims to strengthen cooperation and awareness among Higher Education Institutions worldwide by exploring the potential of Open Approaches (e.g. OER, MOOCs and VM) to support long term, balanced, inter-cultural academic partnership for improving learning and teaching through Open Education approaches.
