Resonate: sustainable water management webinar
On January, 22nd, 2021, the webinar “Sustainable water management and circular economy: strategies for reuse” took place. Its objective was to promote sustainable development through water reuse. The scarcity of water supply, especially due to the increase in demand and the pollution of water resources, is a global problem that highlights an urgent need: the sustainable management of water throughout the planet.
Better use of this resource would mean strengthening the circular economy system. The open class was moderated by Dr. M.ª Dolores Cima, director of the Master in Environmental and Energy Management in Organisations at UNIR. Dr. Rebeca Sánchez, specialist in biomass and renewable energies; Dr. Daniel María González, specialist in integrated water management and Dr. Carolina García, specialist in integrated management systems and occupational risk prevention.
The event, which is part of the action strategies of the Erasmus+ RESONATE project, was promoted and carried out by the Vice-rectorate for International Research and the School of Engineering and Technology of UNIR (ESIT). It was attended by a total of 86 users from different countries, mainly from Ecuador, Colombia and Spain. All of them showed a high degree of interest and participation.
The event highlighted UNIR’s commitment to sustainability and the RESONATE course programme: sustainable water management.
