Building Resilience and Sustainability in Construction: UNIR Hosts BEWARE Project´s multiplier event

BeWare Project Multiplier Event

Logroño, Spain – 13th February 2024

Next Wednesday 21st of February, the Universidad Internacional de La Rioja (UNIR) will host an event focused on sustainability. The event will open with PROEDUCA’s sustainability plan, showcasing its commitment to responsible practices and a greener future. It will be followed by several short sessions on the sustainable projects carried out at UNIR. 

The attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the results of the BEWARE project: Development of Professional Courses in Building Resilience and Sustainability to Extreme Weather Events, funded by the Erasmus+ programme. An initiative aimed at students and professionals in the construction sector, business owners, representatives of business associations and public institutions, and decision-makers involved in sustainability policies.

The event is open to the public (no registration required) and will take place on Wednesday, 21st February, at UNIR’s auditorium (Edificio 1, C/ García Martín 21, Pozulelo de Alarcón, Madrid) from 4:30 to 5:30 PM CET.

Uncover the keys to resilience and sustainability in the construction sector through this multiplier event for the BEWARE project, co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme.

Results of the BEWARE project:

  • Development of a training programme on eco-design, insulation materials, nature-based and waste-solutions, energy efficiency, digitalisation, and risk assessment.
  • Creation of a digital training platform.
  • Compilation of a practicum with case studies of real-life and best-practice examples.
  • Development of guidelines and policy recommendations.
