Encouraging UNIR doctoral candidates: Creation of the Doctoral Support Office (DSO)

The Doctoral Support Office is created in December 2020 under the Vice-rectorate for International Research.

The Office’s main objective is giving emotional support to the doctoral candidates and helping them to manage their studies through remote calendar planning, organization with tutors and directors, access to useful resources, and other services.

DSO

DSO offers its services to 11 students, out of which 7 are UNIR students, 2 from Pontifical Bolivarian University, and 2 from National University of Colombia, all of them pertaining to different stages of the Ph.D. The research lines cover different fields, as Computer Sciences, Knowledge Society, or Digital Transformation.

DSO organizes monthly calls to promote the interactions between the students and monitor the work done, through the thesis presentation from the PhDs.
