Scientific Research in International Research Projects Award

Just as every ship needs its captain, every project requires a Principal Researcher (PI) with a clear scientific vision and strong leadership to guide the team and steer the project toward optimal results. Through the Scientific Leadership in International Research Projects Award, the Vice-Rectorate for International Projects seeks to recognize those researchers who, through scientific leadership, have driven forward and consolidated research proposals and projects—not only at the European level, but also globally.

The aim is to acknowledge scientific leadership in international research projects, valuing scientific excellence, coordination capacity, and contribution to the international positioning of our university. This award is open to UNIR research staff who have led or are currently leading international research projects funded by public or private bodies.

The prize will consist of public recognition of merit as well as a financial incentive, demonstrating the Vice-Rectorate’s commitment to internationalization and excellence among UNIR’s teaching and research staff.

Applications must be submitted through a form, which can be found here. The selection process strictly ensures fairness and equality. Once the application period has ended, applications will be reviewed by a jury chaired by the Vice-Rector for International Projects and composed of both internal and external members of UNIR.
