Integration of informal learning and OER at Mobile Learning Week Symposium
This week, Prof. Daniel Burgos, Vice-Chancellor for Research & Technology (UNIR Research, //research.unir.net), UNESCO Chair on Elearning (//research.unir.net/unesco) and ICDE Chair on OER, contributes to the Mobile Learning Week with a breakout presentation about how to integrate informal learning and OER.
In the framework of this Mobile Learning Week, UNESCO celebrates a number of meetings around ICT on Education: webinars, workshops, a two-day symposium, and a Policy Forum…This week, Prof. Daniel Burgos, Vice-Chancellor for Research & Technology (UNIR Research, //research.unir.net), UNESCO Chair on Elearning (//research.unir.net/unesco) and ICDE Chair on OER, contributes to the Mobile Learning Week with a breakout presentation about how to integrate informal learning and OER.
The core of this meeting is the two-day symposium where education authorities and experts will try to identify new innovations that enhance the quality of education in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Agenda.
Daniel Burgos participates with a breakout presentation dealing with integration of informal learning and open educational resources (OER). Burgos states that “informal learning is a powerful opportunity for progress, access, quality, equity and to foster the learner performance, around the world”.
But, also highlights the necessity “to find the agreement for a good understanding and mutual benefit between informal learning, OER and regular academic programmes”. For that reason, Prof. Dr. Daniel Burgos encourages the MLW 2016 audience to contribute to this topic from their own perspective, personal experience and goals “making every participant a potential partner of this approach”.
