UNIR iTED participates in 2nd World Open Educational Resources Congress

Last September took place 2nd World Open Educational Resources Congress in Ljubljana, which hosted around 600 delegates, representatives of Government, NGOs, educators and experts, academia and industry. Daniel Burgos, director of Research Institute for Innovation & Technology in Education (UNIR iTED) and director of UNESCO Chair on eLearning and ICDE Chair in OER in UNIR, organized with Fabio Nascimbeni, both directors of Open Educators Factory (OEF) Project, one of the satellite events of this congress:

 

 

During this event, which counted with panelists sush as the OER Chairlonders Colin de la Higuera from France and Tel Amiel from Brazil and the quality expert Anthony Camilleri from Slovenia, a number of strategies to empower educators towards openness were debated, concluding that Open Educators capacity development mus be attentive to teacher’s workload, cultural background and level of openness fluency.

Daniel Burgos also participated in a plenary session about Open Educational Resources and the role of the OER community. You can watch the videos:
