27 members have already joined the eLearning Latam Network

The International Network for Research in Educational Technology & Innovation (eLearning Latam Network) already has 27 members from 23 educational institutions from Latin America and Spain. The network will be presented at UNESCO-UNIR ICT & Education Latam Congress (http://www.unesco-unir-latam.org), to be held from 22nd to 24th of June at Bogota, Colombia


Since his very first start, the International Network for Research in Educational Technology and Innovation has attracted the interest of too many institutions worldwide. Nowadays, “the Network gathered institutional representatives from Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, Honduras, Mexico, Panama, Venezuela, and Spain”, states Mara Zamora, Latam Relations Chair for UNESCO-UNIR ICT & Education Latam Congress.

The Network aims to facilitate the collaboration amongst researchers, research groups, and universities from all over the world about Educational Technology. The objectives are to create, transfer, disseminate and to put in value the knowledge in the eLearning and Open Educational Resources (OER) fields.

Practical knowledge, specific actions

Work orientation will lead to specific actions. “The first step of the Network will be the identification of the different local worries about: Educational Technology, Open Educational Resources, methodology and innovation on education, and administration and educational policies” has explained Mara Zamora after a meeting in Madrid with Daniel Burgos, Vice-chancellor for Research & Technology (UNIR Research, //research.unir.net), and Florencia Rodríguez, Distance Learning Chair for Universidad de Cuenca del Plata (Argentina).

tion Latam Congress will be the cornerstone to the constitution of the Network as a forum to debate specific actions in order to integrate informal resources and methodologies inside the classroom.
